Panorama-Restaurant in Ilshofen

For our visit yesterday we had reserved a table for 5 people in the panorama restaurant. On arrival we were referred to the bar next to it, only when we insisted on our reservation, we were given a table in the (up to then completely empty!) Restaurant. The table was in a corner, the walls of which were "decorated" with wallpaper that showed a stone wall - you can argue about taste, but in a restaurant that sees itself as "upscale", actually an absurdity. But now to the food itself: the soups were average at best and had to be spiced up. The white wine "Prolog" was brought to the table at room temperature and only removed from the table when requested and placed in an ice bucket. - But even when cooled it is a flat, completely meaningless wine. For main courses we had lamb (that was okay), fillet steak (good) and oxtail ragout (reasonably okay). The "two things" from the duck was well done and therefore dry and tough, at least one apologized for it when asked. A Chianti served with it was at a decent temperature, but too thin to leave an impression. A Pinot Noir that was also served was a fine example of a wine with a cork fault ... The dessert (so-called "apple tart") was visually nicely arranged, but completely tasteless. The service was "ok" during the entire visit, but neither from noteworthy friendliness nor diligence. In a word: Not a restaurant that you have to visit again, especially since there are so much better alternatives within a few kilometers.

Excellent cuisine, very friendly service. Also tasty vegetarian dishes. Recommended!

Delicious food from appetizer to dessert.

Very friendly staff. Did intermediate station here and only wanted lunch. I can not really recommend the schnitzel from the veal. Was unfortunately done in the deep fryer. Fried potatoes and vegetables were delicious. , We like to come back but do not eat Wiener schnitzel anymore

Exclusive food, great atmosphere, good wine. But the best part is the exceedingly friendly and competent staff.
